I'm a Texas born, Alaska raised, Nashville dwelling singer/songwriter.
I had the honor of serving in the United States Army as a Combat Medic. Was hoping to make it a career, but I was wounded in action during my second combat tour and medically retired.
When I was in the service my brothers in arms would always ask why I was in the Army and not playing music somewhere. I used to say "it's not that easy", I really never dreamed I'd have a career playing music. The military was where I felt I belonged.
Everything happens for a reason.
I am a guy who's passionate about reinventing my personal best. There's always room for improvement. In doing so, I seem to find myself in the right place at the right time fairly often. This has led to some very great experiences, life-lessons, and friendships.
I hope you take the time to follow the links on my page.
Operation Song is a NFP that is very close to my heart. The work they are doing with Veterans is changing lives for the better. I've had the honor of performing a very special Memorial Day tribute in Washington D.C. and on the Grand Ole Opry with Operation Song the past few years. I am looking forward to joining Operation Song in honoring and serving our Veterans for a long time to come.
Grunt Style is a brand I believe strongly in. Firstly, I really like a lot of their stuff, but they are a Veteran owned, primarily Veteran-staffed patriotic apparel company. American made, with a LIFETIME guarantee. Outgrow it, stain it, tear it, shrink it, whatever; send it back and they'll replace it. That's the Grunt Style Beer Guarantee. After some of the folks from Grunt Style met me and heard me perform, they asked me to become a brand ambassador for them. If you follow the link from my page and buy something, I get the commission. Too easy. I buy enough of their shirts to keep myself in business! Follow my social media for special discount codes and special offers I get from time to time. This is a new alliance for me, and I am very much looking forward to 2018 with Grunt Style!
I grew up in Alaska, and have lived in a number of states. Most notably in Northern New York, home of the US Army's 10th Mountain Division, for about a decade. It was there that I began performing in bars on the weekends back in 2009. I played with a few bands here and there, but eventually found myself doing mostly solo gigs. In 2014 I moved to Nashville and probably got a lifetime's worth of both stage time and drinking during just my first year in town. I had some good advice when arriving in Nashville, and it took a while for it to sink in. Over the holiday season in 2017 I will be celebrating 2 years quite happily sober. If alcohol is a good thing, I think it's safe to say I've had too much of a good thing. Not to worry - there are good things to be found everywhere! I am so thankful to be able to do what I love well enough to get me by. I may not be the most prolific guy out there, but I am plugging along and digging every moment.
Thank you for your support. I look forward to playing many more songs in this life!
